How to get visual studio intellisense

I am trying to enable the visual intellisense but it isn’t working I have watched a ton of tutorials but nothing changes I have set visual studio as my external script editor I have modified it to work with coding in unity what else should I do?

have you added visual studio package? from package manager.

try that “regenerate” button in preferences/external also.

You will need to install Unity integration on Visual Studio’s side too. Though this should happen automatically if Visual Studio is installed via Unity Hub.

I have done both of those but it still wont work

Here’s a few more ways to wiggle the wires and bang the cage bars:

This may help you with intellisense and possibly other Visual Studio integration problems:

Sometimes the fix is as simple as doing Assets → Open C# Project from Unity. Other times it requires more.

Other times it requires you also nuke the userprefs and .vsconfig and other crufty low-value high-hassle files that Visual Studio tends to slowly damage over time, then try the above trick.

Barring all that, move on to other ideas:

Also, try update the VSCode package inside of Unity: Window → Package Manager → Search for Visual Studio Code Editor → Press the Update button

Also, this: No suggestions in Vscode

It finally worked! Thanks!
