How to have a look to the player data's ?

Hello everybody,

I am working for a project and I have a little problem. My application contains a little game, each players have a name and a score that changes. So, I want to see the score of every players that plays the game. My first solution was to send an email to the player who reach a specific score for example To see then in my mailbox to who was sent this mail. When I do a test with unity it works but when I publish the application it doesn’t work.

Have you, please, a solution or an other solution except the mail to access to the players data ?
I have also tried the sqlLite database but it also doesn’t work when I publish the game, I don’t know why. The application doesn’t run.

Thank you.

I have no idea what you are trying to do. Your question is about looking at players data but then you mention emailing the player? Also note that you can’t count on emailing players, as they could block or not want to be mailed.

If you just need a leaderboard, you could try a backend service if you are wanting to compare several players scores. Many of them offer leaderboard services. If you want the player to view stuff on their device, you’ll be able to access the leaderboard and then you’ll need some gui to display it.

Thank you for your answer.
In fact what I want is to see the scores of users who have installed my application. I must actually be informed when the user reaches the targeted score.

I believe you are looking something like Unity Analytics Unity - Manual: Unity Analytics

So with unity analytics, I can see the playerName registered in the game and the score of the player ?

If you need to know when a player reaches a score, you’ll have to collect data on them through something. Analytics can work, but you’re not going to know who reached a score. Simply that someone reached a score at some point. A backend service will sometimes have systems in place to respond to when a player hits a value (so if their score is over an amount, you can respond to when that happens). If nothing else, the leaderboard will list the scores along with a player name if they registered for an account through your game.

Note that you can’t just gather info. You’re going to have to have them enter it somewhere if they want to create an account.

Can you explain better what you want to do? I see you want to know when a player reaches a score. But what do you want to do with that info?

In fact when a user downloads my application, he must insert his e-mail address. In the application there is a mini games which allows to collect points, once the user has 100 points for example, it will have the possibility to earn credits on a console games in connection with the application.

So I need the email address that the user has entered with his score so that he can then email the details of his reward.

It’s a bit difficult to explain I hope you understand?

Just write/hire a backend server, and give yourself access to view it. SQL servers are easy to write up.

Your bigger complication will be the legal implications of collecting personal data. Have a lawyer go over your privacy agreement first.
