I save my blender files in the project directory so I can quickly preview them. But every time I save it, blender makes a duplicate of the old save file under a new extension as a backup. This is fine, It’s saved my ass before. But I don’t want the extra blend files cluttering up my project directory. Is there any way to hide them or get rid of them short of manually separating them from the real save files? Thanks for any help you can give me!
Check out the HideFlags.
I’am usually against necroposting but hopefully this will help anyone else in their search, i found this info in a hidden slide in on the internet link to slide.
if you go to slide 54 , it shows that if you end a folders name with “~” (example : folder named “IgnoreMePlease~”) , said folder and its content will be ignored on import AND invisible in the project view , i tried it myself and it actually works unlike the HideFlags suggestion.
I really don’t know how this isn’t in the official doc since it’s very important of you wall track stuff in hidden files without cluttring the project view.
