How to import animation from 3D Max 2010

Hi,

Im trying to export an animated box from 3D Max 2010 with the latest FBX Exporter (2011.2), i have selected export animation and bake animation.

When exported as FBX 2011, the object in unity does not show its animation object, when exported as FBX 2010, 2009 or 2006, the animation is showed, but when i hit play the object just disappear.

Tried multiple configurations on both Max and Unity, but none worked.

Unity 2.6.1 is not compatible with FBX 2011 (it uses FBX SDK 2010.2).

Actually even if you export as FBX 2010 format (using FBX 2011 plugin) - animation doesn't work. Autodesk is aware of the problem.

My suggestion would be to use FBX 2010 plugins in 3dsMax, or to get Unity 3.0 as soon as it's out, because it's based on FBX 2011.2 SDK.
