How to import video at Plane texture?

Good day!
I try to import video (avi,mp4) into Plane (and cube) texture.

So, create Plane texture, move it as screen. Inport video into StreaminAssets. Then if i click on video- inspector watch only name of video and it can only open it.

Not any preview.
If i drag-and-drop movie into plane- nothing happens.

Please, tell me, how to fix that? I use Personal Edition (at support says,that i can use MovieTexture at my licence).

Try updating/installing latest Quicktime player,
or saving the video to another format…(or test another video)

Then once you get it to import, also need to create script to start playing it:

Should i use only Apple Quicktime? It seems that i need to use Pro player version for make mp4 video.
Can i use VLC player?

No, you just need to have it installed, then import video into unity (or do “re-import” for the existing).

If installing latest quicktime doesnt help, then try using some video converter to save your video as .mov, .avi, etc,
probably VLC player can export to other formats too?

i’ve had several mp4 videos also that wouldnt import into unity, had to save/export them to different formats and then bring to unity…
