How to install Unity Plug-in manually for cinema 4d?

Every time unity detects my cinema, tries to install the plugin, but the computer block it, how can i do this manually?

I am trying to do this on mac and getting the error: Opening file /Applications/Unity/Version failed because permission for the file was denied when I attempt to copy a C4D asset into the asset folder. I should note that I’m using the unity demo, I’m not sure if that affects things

I assume you're talking about Windows. I think you should get the message "You have to start Unity in Administrator mode". You do it by right clicking on Unity executable and choosing "Run as Administrator". Then run single C4D import - Unity will install the plugin. After that you can run Unity in usual mode.
