How to integrate iAd and Admob?

Hello,

I’m currently researching in-app advertising. And I’m currently looking into displaying iAd and Admob-ads in my apps. I also discovered the related Prime31-plugins (not bought them yet).

My question is how do I easily integrate iAd-ads (primarily) and Admob-ads (when no iAds are available)?
Do I just need to buy the 2 related Prime-31 and integrate them (can you set how those 2 interact with each other in regards to displaying ads)?
Or do I need to turn to Mobclix/Adwhirl and set my preference through their service and integrate the Prime31-plugin for Mobclix/Adwhirl?
Any info is greatly appreciated!
David

is you google prime 31 api you can see the list of calls yoi can make, there is one that keys you know if an ad is active or not, so im sure u can try to swap back amd forth with that

also just contact prime 31, he is very responsive and always helpful

@Raycat, I am guessing I already answered your email (unless someone happened to have the exact same question last night  What pat said is spot on: show iAds first (bigger money) if no ad is available the adViewDidChange event will get fired letting you know and then you can show an AdMob ad.

Alternatively, you could use Mobclix or AdWhirl and control everything via the web portals. Mobclix is much cleaner and easier to use than AdWhirl but AdWhirl is more flexible in some regards.

@Pat, thanks for the quick response!

@Mike, Yes that was me  I just bought your iAd and Admob plugins, so now to work to get them working. Thanks for you quick replies!

I’ve got both plugins working but I’m stuck with the detection of a failed iAd. I’m only familiar with JS, and all the Prime31 are in CS.
Is it possible to detect the fired event (adViewDidChange) in a JS-script? Since I can not access it like I used to do with static variables.
So I need the code to detect if adViewChange (from the iAd plugin) is fired and than “activate” the Admob-plugin. Anybody any pointers?

@Raycat, events are 100% identical syntax between JS and C#. If you aren’t familiar with events there are examples included with every plugin (*EventListener scripts) and we have video tutorials on them here

Hi Mike,
thanks for the tip. I’ve got it working now (in CS).
Many thanks!

Many people online (and on the forums) are saying that Mobiclix don’t pay, so probably not a good idea to go with them.

@prime31 Interstitials only work on iPad, is this correct?
