How to: Let players talk in real time to each other in a network multiplayer game

I want to give the players at a multiplayer game (networking) the opportunity to talk to each other in real-time during the game. The audio input does not have to be recorded (if necessary, it’s ok).

After reading doc I’m thinking about connecting the microphone script directly to an audio listener or player. Is this possible? Does this make sense or is there a better way?

Would be great to get your ideas and help.

Thanks in advance … Horst

Hi @horstv

I’m sorry to say that Unity does not currently provide its own solution to real-time voice chat via Unet.

I would suggest using a third party asset from the asset store. I have provided a link to “Dissonance Voice Chat” this is an asset that supports real-time voice chat compatible with Unet.
