How to make a continuous 2d scenario like in gris?

I want to know how can i make a 2d continuous 2d scenario like in the game Gris, should i create multiple sprites and put them side by side or i have to make only a big one?

probably GRIS has a lot of things you cant see… i think there’s several ways to achieve this…

one of them is to load new parts while playing… if the player falls, it actially is not falling, probably is an animation while the new scenario is loading, then just put the player and give back control of the character…

having a massive map will make things slow and will be a constraint while developing a level, caulse you probably want something to be bigger but you cant cause the level you made before is there…

gris ovbiously loads new scenarios on the go… i walked over an scenario and while coming right back is was not there… it changed… so yeah, you should add some triggers to load new stuff and make the scenario to change while the game is running…
