You shoot the flamethrower.
The Flames stick to the ground / object / player you shooted at.
The Flame dies after 5 seconds.,Example:

You can set colliders to the objects to be “stuck” on then enable Collision module of your flame thrower particle system, use World collision mode, zero bounce.
u can try with the dampen property in the collision module of the particle system? if you increase the value it can simulate sticking to the object they collide. (I know I’m answering 4 years later, but maybe someone has the same problem…)
