How to make tilemap like Hill Climb Racing?

Hello, I want to make a game like Hill Climb Racing with some differences. What is the optimal way of creating the tilemap (surface on which car drives)? How should i do that? I was thinking of drawing the whole map, slicing it into pieces, storing it in a list and instantiating them one by one? How do I handle colliders? Should I just make a polygon collider? I assume no, cause i heard that it’s not recommended thing to do for performance. Though maybe it’s ok because it’s 2D Polygon?
