How to marketing your apps in google store or/and apple store?

How can your apps and/or games survive between hundreds pouring others in 1 day?

What is your strategy?

How long your apps take to develop?

How much you should earn to over BEP?

coming from my experience publishing my game Fallen World https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/fallen-world/id664908520? to iOS which was not really successful revenue wise, I still learned a great deal from the experience.

I think that patience is the key to a successful game on any platform!

  • Patience to Maintain a nice Development Blog for your Game;

  • Try to Gain a Following of Fans for the Game very early on, as they serve as a form of Free Marketing via Word of Mouth Spreading the News of your Game to Others Over Time.

  • Submit your Game to Indie Conferences / Showcasing Events like Indie Cade or Indie Prize. Even if your Game is In Development some Indie Events like these still accept the Game for Showcasing and You can win some Awards, get some good Press and Overall Making more Noise for your Game Coming Soon!

(my game Fallen World was selected for Indie Prize this past year and it was worth the experience flying out to San Francisco, California, Networking, Getting Inspired by Other Indies, Learning from others who’s been in the Industry for some time, Well Worth it!)

  • Make sure to Use Press Release Services Like http://www.gamespress.com/ and http://www.gamerelease.net/ if you don’t have alot of money for Marketing, but if you do have a Nice Big Budget for Marketing then I think there are some-other Bigger AAA Press Release Service you may want to seek out for a better reach.

  • Finally if your are going to Develop for Mobile, Make sure to Develop a Free-2-Play Game with In-App Purchases! I’m Not saying this is the ONLY way to be successful, but I think alot of studies, and data is showing that one of the hardest things to do on Mobile is to Get someone to Download your App/Game! So what better way to do it, than to Offer it for FREE! it’s obvious…

but the second part of this is… does the game you have in mind, do you have a way to monetize it in a healthy balanced way using the In-App Purchase Model? I personally could never wrap my head around how to design such a game, so if you have the skill and the intelligence to figure it out! then take that and the above and you are well on your Way to Publishing a Successful Free-2-Play Game with IAP on Mobile!

P.S. Sorry if i didnt address all questions, i was really focused on the first two line/questions.

  2. social (word of mouth) marketing
  3. get people to review it
  4. set the initial price to very low, purchase it from yourself several thousand times to raise ratings, then set the price back to normal ( I believe there are certain Indian tech companies that provide this service)

That’s just sad. I hear there are also services where you can order 4-5 star reviews, although I’m sure that is against Apple’s policy.
