I was looking for some tutorials on how to make a mini-map, and i found some tings.
But they all use some cam on top, making the whole game more heavy to run with adding a load of drawcalls and such.
Does anyone know some tutorial around that uses another way for making a minimap that is very cpu/gpu friendly ?
This unity3d minimap is an out of the box solution and it will autoatically create a highres screenshot grid of your scene, allowing you to render even huge terrains in your minimap without loosing any performance. There is nothing you have to do manually, just enable the autophoto feature flag.
