In Timeline, you can drag out a rectangle and it selects all of the animation clips touched. You can then slide them around to make space. But if you record animation clip keyframes directly (turn on the record button and change property values) those points do not get selected and they do not drag around with the clips. So when I want to extend something, I have to move all the clips, then go to the recorded properties one by one and adjust them to get them lined up with the clips again.
For example, I use a “look at” script and adjust properties to change what the character looks at (it blends between different targets in the scene). Hard to do with animation clips - using a script one character looks directly at another character without me having to get the angles right by hand.
E,g, dragging a rectangle highlights clips, not recorded keyframes points. (I want to drag ones in the rectangle with the clips.)

Is there a way to get the points in the rectangle to be highlighted as well so those selected keyframe points move with the animation clips? They are in override tracks like the animation clips etc. It is very painful to get them all to line up again in a complex scene.
My workaround at present is to position the playhead carefully, double click on a track, then drag the keyframes using the playhead as a point of reference. Its just slow going for something I do a lot. E.g. hair bounces too much (or other physics) at start of a scene, so I have to move everything to the right by a few seconds to let it settle down (including the recorder track) - but the keyframes don’t move.
