I am using the latest MacBook Pro and am trying to get my camera to rotate in scene view. My guess is that this is what is referred to when it talks about orbiting. Supposedly, you’re supposed to be able to use the alt key to orbit, which I guess is the option key on a Mac, but when I try either of my option keys, the orbit function doesn’t activate. Can someone point out to me what I’m doing wrong?
Alt + left click. (The alt key is indeed labeled “alt”, as well as “option”.)

I ran into this issue and eventually realized that I had clicked the rotation lock.
Orbit doesn’t work when rotation is locked; pressing the Alt key has not effect.
Just click the rotation lock to unlock rotation and then Alt + click works!
