All I can think is to take a look on similar game on stream. Is there any better method?
Assuming is mobile game. Trial error. Try small. Gain some popularity. Increase price. Monitor purchases. Amend price accordingly. Repeat.
It is a PC game, I dont think trial and error work on pricing. Price should be correct at the start, because customer may refer to the original price and may not buy if the price increase later. A wrong price also mean losing potential profit.
In this case, putting higher price, drives customers higher expectations. Yes you would be best look at similar titles, and get relevant pricing. You can leave some margin for optional discounts.
Apparently reddit can be useful for that.
Btw, I assume this is just prototype at this stage?
For PC, games should be priced according to its similarity to other games in the market. That’s why customers expect and will pay. Factors to consider:
- Experience length. How long will it keep a player entertained?
- Graphics quality
- Target audience
- Competing games
Yes, it just show how the game play like. Defend the stronghold with editable robot.
Actually, what I want to know is how much people will pay for a game concept like this. So, I can know I am on the right direction or not.
I don’t know whether I can finish the game or not, it more like a hobby to waste my time.
Calm down please. This is really game play concept demo.
You can see the whole background is empty in another video .
No, first time to know these game.
Basically, the idea come from the Japanese video game, Super Robot War. One month ago it was a turn based game. But when I saw how long the enemy robot moved and attacked in enemy turn. I gave up and change the game completely to RTS.
Looks good but it’s unsellable due to the copyright infringing models. I would suggest you carry on developing it for learning purposes as it’s working well so far though
As for the replies I deleted - please ignore them, obviously some people are excited today due to the Unity terms of service update announcement - which was good news for everyone.
Whats your next step in developing this ? obviously it can’t be sold as it is because it uses copyrighted materials, thus we can only consider it a prototype.
