How to properly close integrated unity in native ios app ?

Is there a way to completly terminate / close integrated unity in IOS app ?
We have tried UnloadApplication and Application.Unload() from both native and unity side. But unity keeps on working, it stops responding but winow does not close. After forcfuly hiding the window with unity and trying to run it again it starts from the same point it spoted before.
