How to Save and Load Project ?

Hello all,

I’m trying to use Unity and each time i use it i don’t correctly save the file and it’s becoming a pain having to re do my work over and over. I don’t have full Unity downloaded it’s on the college computers i use personal and yeah thats about everything i know.

At certain times when i try and save a file it tells me to put it into the Assets Folder, I’ve put the file all around my computer and in Unity and still can’t seem to load it up ?

Each time i access Unity i need to re-install it maybe this is something which is causing the problem or maybe the package i use doesn’t allow me to save files ?

If anyone can help I’d be really grateful.

Thanks

Not to sound snarky, but just do what it tells you…

It wants you to save the scene in the project’s folder. When you create a new project it’ll create an Assets directory where 100% of your game files should live. Save your scene there. They can be in any subdirectory from there but the highest they can go is Assets.

Also make sure you do Save Project as well as Save Scene.

I’ll give that a go on Monday jt thanks, I think cause I’m on college computers anything on the drives is always deleted and i have to install the download every time i log onto the computer. We have full 3ds max and i don’t seem to have this problem but our Unity is only partly downloaded.

Tried FTP?
