I created a prefabs with particle emitter, see attached image.
When the object hits another object, it would instantiate that prefabs play once. Then, it would be destroyed by code.
However, there is nothing emit.
Did I set something wrong for the emitter properties?
Try experimenting with the Size and Energy settings (i.e. larger values) until you’re certain it’s doing something. Then reduce them until you get what you desire.
I found the reason is the position of particle emitter has problem.
if(hit.gameObject.tag == "kick")
{
var l_foot : GameObject = GameObject.Find("Opponent/man/Pelvis/L_Leg/L_Knee/L_LegEye/L_Foot");
Instantiate (particleKick, l_foot.transform.position, Quaternion.identity);
I saw the particle emitted in the back of the stage. But not emit in l_foot position.
How should I fix it?
Possibly due to the simulate in world space option - may not be where you expect it to be…
simulate in world space option
No, it is not
no matter checked or unchecked, still the same
Ok - not sure what you’ve tried yourself so last suggestion …
Try putting a print statement in your code to show where the left foot transform position is.
All yours.
