How to Set Machine Type to GCP-N2 in Multiplay Hosting Fleet Configuration?

In Multiplay Hosting, the machine type in the fleet configuration defaults to AZURE-DAS, resulting in an error. How can I set the machine type to GCP-N2 instead?

Hello,

Thank you for your post - you should not be receiving this error, this appears to be part of a recent change in our system. The recent rollout appears to have caused issues with pre-existing customer projects where it shouldn’t have.

We have engineers actively working on rectifying this issue as we speak. We will update you ASAP when this is fixed.

Thanks

Thank you for your reply. This error did not occur until a few days ago, and suddenly started occurring today.

Hey,

We have made the change to fix this problem.

Should take a couple of seconds to revert, but if you fancy refreshing and trying it again for us?

Thanks!

Hello,

I have checked on my end, and the issue has been resolved. Thank you very much for your prompt assistance.

The error has been resolved, but another issue has arisen. Two identical fleets are being generated.

It seems that each time I create, two identical items are being generated.

Hey,

Thanks for flagging this - we’re having a quick look now.

Kind regards

Same thing happened to me. Few days ago I had duplicate fleet. I deleted them and tried to run a new fleet, then I got Bad Request validation error: invalid MachineType AZURE-DAS.

Any updates or workaround maybe, it’s not possible to run a server for me at the moment?

Regarding this issue: On my end, I contacted Unity about this issue, and it was resolved after a short time. It was likely a problem on Unity’s side, and I don’t think it was something that could be handled on the client side.

Currently, the issue of having duplicate fleets has also been resolved, and everything is working smoothly now.

If the issue still occurs, it’s probably not something that can be fixed on the client side, so contacting Unity would be the best approach.

Duplicate fleet should have been resolved yesterday. If there are any issues with incorrect MachineType please let us know and we can investigate and help unblock you.

I’m still experiencing issues with setting up a fleet.

There was a problem creating your fleet: Bad Request: validation error: invalid MachineType AZURE-DAS. List of allowed cloud machine types in this fleet: GCP-N2
