How to set pivot point to the parent

Let’s say that I’m making a solar system module. Before, when I parent a planet to the center, the pivot of the parent will be where the parent is. Now it places the pivot in the middle between the planet and the parent. When I try to rotate the parent, both the child and parent spin around this pivot. Did I do something that causes the pivot to go to the center? How can I fix it in a way that DOESN’T involve using scripts?

Sorta helps. A problem that I didn’t mention was that when rotating the parent, it distorts the child shapes greatly.
