How to store a child class? in variable

Hello, I would like to ask how to store propably a child class in a variable (C#). I have a character and some bones in it. I know how to store the character in variable but do not know how to store the bones because they are in character. I want to move with each bone in code.

I can store this ‘Armature’ this way:

private GameObject character;

void Start()
{
    character = GameObject.Find("Armature");
}

But for bones it does not work. Thanks for any answers.

How about creating an array or list of gameObjects and then accessing them when need be…

foreach (Transform child in ParentObj.transform) {
    ChildrenList.Add (child.gameObject);
}
