How to tell when objects scale is zero?

Im trying to make the Character destroy himself if his size (which changes overtime) reaches 0, but it won’t work:

if (transform.localScale <= new Vector3(0, 0, 0))
{
    Destroy(this.gameObject);
}

Im getting the Error:
error CS0019: Operator '<=' cannot be applied to operands of type 'Vector3' and 'Vector3'

Have you tried this?

if (transform.localScale.x <= 0 && transform.localScale.y <= 0 && transform.localScale.z <= 0)
{
    Destroy(this.gameObject);
}
