how to use animation layer with additive mode and root motion applied?

The same layer works if i make the mode override. but it causes some camera issue.

I want to use additive mode with root motion applied.

Additive layer works with root motion applied. Are you using a layer mask to exclude/include the root node from affecting the additive layer?

Can you describe in more detail ‘camera issue’? This camera issue should be unrelated to mecanim layers unless the camera is parented to the part of the character being affected by the override/additive layer.
