How to use JSONParse.js

I can't seem to get JSONParse to work in any fashion.

this code:

import JSONParse;

function Start(){
    var j = new JSONParse("{a:'string'}");  
}

produces the error:

NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object
