How to use Skinned Cloth...

I have no idea how to use a Skinned Cloth and would like some help please.

  • I have a character that’s rigged and working with a controller, great. I also modeled hair in Max that’s enveloped to the head bone (see attached).
  • I brought that hair FBX into the scene, animation checked with Skin checked as well (see attached). I also tried parenting the hair mesh to the Head bone and both had the same results as below.
  • I applied the Skinned Cloth to the hair mesh, and chose the Root Bone as the Head bone in the Skinned Mesh Render, and also assigned Mesh as the ponytail model.
  • When I hit Play, the hair mesh just vanishes.

What am I missing? I cant find a single tutorial on this, and none of the Skinned Cloth parameters work either. Any help would be appreciated!

I’m pretty sure its not the same issue as Staross thread. That’s something with prefab within prefab.

But I’d like you to submit a bug report with a repro project and send me the case number so I can take a look.
