I wanted to know what software or websites I should use to work on my project with multiple people. Unity Collab is not working for my friend, so I wanted to know if there are any other software that could help?

Git or svn.
You could try Git Lab for hosting your project, and Source Tree to make using git easier
I suppose perforce is also a good option, and it’s free for a small team
