How... useable is webGL for commercial projects now?

Hi,
I am a bit outdated with this games in browser stuff. Last time I had to do with it, flash and the unity webplayer was dead and when I tried to run some of my (2d) games in WebGL I had a lot of errors.
And after fixing them I had something slow with bugs(missing sounds, events etc. ), that worked only on chrome.
Now I have an assignment for a simple 2d Slotmachine Browsergame and I heard the WebGL Support made great progress.

But still I am not fully convinced and I am mostly finding outdated stuff from 2015… I would love to do it in Unity, but can I make a commercial game with Webgl/Unity by now or is it still too early and I should instead use a Javascript Webgl Library?

2D slot machine should not be an issue. We still don’t support mobile browsers yet if that is what you are aiming for.
