How would you make a rotating mars light? ( Signal safety light )

I actually looked up what these things were called properly so I could get reference, does anyone know how you would actually make these in Unity? I am of course talking about those amber rotating lights you have on construction vehicles and so on but what I want to know is how you have the bright flashing and glow like the video below.

As you can see, unlike other simpler lights which I can do myself, this one is really really bright and I don’t think a halo effect would work here because that’s too soft. Do you think perhaps a lens flare would do it? I’m not sure how well that would work as the light source will obviously be rotating.

Lense flairs are for lenses - and we don’t see them at night. There might be reflection of a very bright light or some distortion from seeing it through a window or something, but not a lense flair.

What have you tried so far? I’m thinking a glow + emissive would help at the source of the light and possibly some reflecting elements which would enhance the light - just like in real life.

What is this for - PC game?

Have you tried to create this in a dark environment?

Our eyes also have “lenses” and they are known to degrade with age.

Ah,well I’m just running through theory at the moment, but what I did try recently was I made a small drone and I have a light on it which glows blue faintly when the player isn’t detected and I thought what would be a really nice and obvious effect would be to have a red version of the light I show flashing red as an alarm system.

I’ll take a look at glow effects generally, I have heard of emission lighting stuff but never tried using them all that much, I’ll experiment with them and see, the key thing is here making the light actually rotate with my spotlight because to let you actually see where the light is hitting I’m of course going to put the spotlight in as well and it would need to attach to that.
