Htc Vive Gun Problems

Hello, iv recently being making a game which includes guns in it, but im not sure how to make my controller pick up a gun, or how to even make a gun in the 1st place, I would be happy if someone helped me with this, as it has been bugging me for nearly a week.

Put a collider on the controller and when it collides with your gun then parent the gun’s transform to the controllers transform and position it as appropriate.
