Hub keeps showing my project as "Not Connected" to the cloud... even though it is

I click on the Not Connected label in the Cloud column. I select “Connect to existing Cloud Project.” I choose my organization and existing project and save. I see a little popup notification at the bottom that says “Project connected!” but the tag in the Hub UI Cloud column forever remains “Not Connected”, no matter how many times I restart the hub, editor, or how many times I repeat this process, or logout and back in again.

In editor, I can see all the Services listed in project settings and they all seem to be working (with the exception of the In App Purchasing service consistently shows an error about checking the server for my existing Google Play public key, even though it works when I run the game).

I have a couple of other projects that do show as Connected in the hub.

Unity Hub 3.6.1

Hey @sampenguin ,
What is the full Unity Editor version for the projects that you’re having problems with?

Some projects of mine are the same but several seem fine. shows connected to the cloud and I can prove they are, but so far one project claims it is connected, but hub shows not connected and when I go to the cloud I can see the project folder and ANOTHER project folder with the same name but a bunch of what looks like part of a GUID in the name and the date of today when I attempted it; but I told it to connect to the project folder and NOT to create one.

Could this be because while the project is now 2023.1.18f I originally started it under 2019 editor and have been upgrading it as new editors were released?

I have had the exact same problem for a very long time. When I tries to connect it, nothing happens. Just keeps saying “Not connected”. But inside Unity the project is hooked up.

Also, I created a new project today in 2022.3.19 and that new project could connect to cloud and says connected.

This project that doesn’t work I started all the way back in 2018 so it was started in a old version, seen from today.

Hi. Did you find a solution?

Nope, however, in relation to some other stuff I wanted to test, I created a new project and copied over all my content from my project and then it was connected.

However, there were some other issues with that that I didn’t have time to look into, so just went back to my current project.

Not sure what impact it really have that it’s not connected… keep in min my project is connected to Unity services inside the project and all works - it’s only in the Unity Hub it’s not.

I found the issue, you should go to Project Settings then Editor

and then turn the “Mode” to Force Text
