All made with Unity, this is just a video grab from the demo, no video editing at all.
Enjoy
Edit : I’ve uploaded a new version on youtube, that runs at 30FPS (the video) and has an HQ version too… I was using a crappy video capture tool, now I use FRAPS that is much faster.
Even more impressive than your last “huge” spaceship. Very nicely done. What’s the total poly count? What sort of framerates are you getting, and on what kind of machine?
Textures are just awful though. And it seems uv-mapped poorly.
And you know what’s bad if you have lots of details and no aa? You get superjaggy edges. It is big and all, but IMO, nothing impressive.
Oh cmon! Even the planning of such a ship is a feat in itself! Pulling it off is another thing, then getting it into a game engine that is able to run this things is another feat (from UT and Nikko).
Answers : I get 60-70 FPS with my 9600 GT but when I do the video I can’t do more than 30-35 because of the compression capture.
About the UV mapping I agree that it is crappy.
But I’m a bit lazy see the number of different modules, it would take me months to map correctly all of them.
I’m working on more stuff, and in the future should have better results, including better uv mapping, because the others spaceships are made from scratch with real-time in mind.
I saw a video of this mothership a long time ago, if I’m not wrong it was a game engine comparison between Unity and Unigine.
If I’m not wrong!
However nice work. 8)
