Humanoid Rig not mapping my Animated FBX with a Prop Animation

Hi,
I have animated this character with standard rig with a ball as a prop inside 3DS Max 2016. Since the ball is animated seperately and synce to the hand, i DID NOT parent the ball controller to the arm.

Now, when i imported the fbx inside unity3d 5 and above, I selected generic rig, so every animation worked perfectly :

a) Problem / Issue :
When I changed the rig system to humanoid rig, i got this :

and the rig completely vanished :

b) Problem / Issue :
When i exported from 3DS MAx 2013, I did get the fbx visible after switching to Humanoid rig, however the character animated but the ball did not animate at all.

I tried masking the ball, but the human character kept vanished and the ball was visible with its animation working. I need both to work.

Please help, how to make the ball animation work alongtwith the human character under Humanoid Rig System inside Unity3d 5 and above ?

For the object disappearing, you should be able to drag the object in the preview window to preview your anim.
If this doesn’t work, please report a bug with your FBX file.
You can post the bug # here, it will most probably speed things up a bit.
