I made it using Unity, obviously x) because there was some super Mario 3D on the net but they did not correspond to what i’d expect from a true “30 years old super Mario Bros tribute”.
So here it is, I have posted on Youtube a Level 1-1 of this Super Mario 3D, I hope you will like it (improvements are constant from the moment I’m on this personnal project)
I really hope you could appreciate playing such a game, as it is a LOT of work for things that appear simple (but => absurd physics are hyper long to implement! !)
I try to be as close as the original as possible, coz it’s all those details that make a revival interresting x)
So here it is I really really wish you enjoyed this vid’
Still work and bugs to fix but I think I’m in a good path for the moment :q
It’s your game and your vision, make it like you imagine it.
I just stated i would find annoying playing the game with such camera, it’s personnal opinion only
Yeah the Camera effect seems a little different than what I’d be down to play for hours, but aside from that I do love the brick effect as well!
However one bit of advice (not a lawyer) but I’d strongly recommend changing the name of Mario and Mario in general, Nintendo takes copyrights seriously, a lot stronger than most companies, so just be careful.
Ok, I made the camera movable by the player (on the video, it’s with my mouse that I move the cam : p) but I intend to focus or more focus Mario actually. I also made a FPS view, that’s kind of fresh view ha ha like on some other mario remix videos. Kind of fresh is this view actually.
Thanks hé hé I spent some time on this actually, that was kind of boring to do but the result is worth with : p Thanks! : p (oh yes I hate those smyley pics from Unity forums, so I just make it the old-school way : p)
Hé hé yes that’s why I stay anonymous x)))) for the cam : it’s the player who controls the cam, but I should change it as Mario is not always focused, kinda problem when you jump or go down to the ground (Mario disappears from view, must improve that but I think there may be a cool cam effect to script : p
