It says, at the bottom of the screen (and in the console), "Cinema 4D converter plugin installation failed." What should I do? If you want to see a picture of the console click this: ![](http://www.freeimagehosting.net/uploads/b097daba41.png)
What it is most likely is a change in the FBX exporter .dll in your C4D version that isn't compatible with how Unity reaches behind the scenes and speaks to it. Might I suggest just updating that .dll with a more recent one (or one we know works)
try looking through this:

and if you're using C4D 10:

Cinema 4d version??
Same problem, I use Cinema 4D r.11.5. The problem also apears with blender 2.5 and maya. It just doesn't work.
launch unity 3d as administrator:)
My problem fixed with this scenario:
- For this to work, Unity Hub also has to run as Administrator.
- Go to the Installation folder of UnityHub and open properties (Alt + Enter) of UnityHub.exe Open the “Compatibility” tab, there you will find a checkbox Run as administrator
Now we can do the same for Unity.
-
Go to the “Editor” folder of the Unity installation you want to run as administrator.
Set Administrator settings for Unity.exe (see instructions above) -
Fully exit Unity and Unity Hub
-
Restart Unity Hub, you should see the Windows dialogue for “Run as administrator”
-
Open a project using the Unity version you customized and Unity will have Admin permissions.
-
If you have problem with dropping objects to Unity, it happens when unity is running as admin, you can just copy and past your files directly using explorer instead of direct dropping.
