I bought Unity Pro and I tried to export my game to an Xbox a Play station 3 and a Wii u but it didn’t seem to work It said my license did not cover those so I said to myself What? So I came here hoping for some answers. If anybody can help me that would be much appreciated and I mean MUCH appreciated.
So, to build a Unity game to run on a console, follow these steps:
- Log into the developer website for the console manufacture and click on the link to request information about Unity.
- One of the sales team will follow-up with you to discuss your plans.
- Negotiate with the sales guy to get an evaluation license, prior to purchasing the console versions.
- Download the console version of Unity from the link the sales guy gives you.
- Activate using the serial key the sales guy gives you.
- Set up the development kit, using the instructions that Sony/MS/Nintendo provide you with.
- Set-up Unity to talk to your console development kit, using the documentation that comes with the console version of Unity.
- Change platform, and do a build-and-run in the usual way.
Note that you need to be authorised by the platform holder, and have their development hardware prior to obtaining the console version of Unity.
You bought the pro, not the wii or ps license those are each a separate buy.
