I can't follow along in the Beginner 2D UFO Game tutorial!

At 6 minutes in

he references a windows shortcut that doesn’t work on my machine. " Cntr + ’ " is what I’m talking about. I don’t know if the version of Microsoft Visual Studio that he is using is different from mine or what. I use Microsoft Visual Studio version 4.6.01586. I decided to consult this forum.

It would be cool just to know how I can access the same tool he’s using.

Is he using Visual Studio? It looks like MonoDevelop to me.

That’s probably it. Opening it in MonoDevelop isn’t an option on my desktop. That’s most likely because I haven’t installed it on this machine. I remember that I did on my laptop. On my desktop I didn’t catch that he started using MonoDevelop, not Visual Studio.

I’m going to try the “Show in explorer” option and then open it with MonoDevelop. I’ll do that once I install MonoDevelop. Thank you.

Do you know the filename of the MonoDevelop studio main executable?

Alternatively, just paste the class you want to look up into the search box here.

I use VS2015, and I always just open up Firefox to search the Unity docs there.
