Hello, I am 14 and was looking forward to developing games and applications with Unity. I downloaded the free version for the first time, and couldn’t get in until I activated my personal license. When I did, it said: “Something went wrong.” After this, I tried manual activation, but this didn’t work either, and the website said “License Error.” How can I get past this?
Thank you.
There is nothing we (the community) can do about that. You should contact the support (like it was suggested on the error page).
However before you contact the support, just make sure you made no mistakes,
First of all there is no free version. There is only one Unity version, you just can have different licenses. Unity only works with an active license. Hopefully by “I downloaded the free version” you don’t mean you downloaded a “cracked” version of Unity. Make sure you downloaded the installer from here.
Make sure your PC meets the system requirements.
Make sure you don’t live in a sanctioned country.
If everything is right up to this point you may now contact the Unity support as suggested at the end of the activation documentation. UnityAnswers is run by the community. You can’t get reliable support here for anything related to sales / licenses / prices. UnityAnswers is for development related questions.
