I created a FPS with leaderboard!

Hi! I’m keeping to study Unity to get a job in future!

To get experience of working with leaderboard I created a FPS where you need to destroy as many enemies as possible. Some enemies leave coins you can spend on bonuses and health upgrade.

Hi! i played your game, and here are my suggetions:

  • Are you sure you want to do ANOTHER minecraft like game? there is like a thousand of them, even in the place you put your game. Try to make your game stand out, remove any minecraft texture from your game and make something unique. Unique = interessing, what you want to see your players thinking

  • It took me some time to notice that the red bar in the screen is my life, and i was getting damaged. Maybe add some visual clues in the screen when i get damage? (like the red vignette in most games)

  • The zombies are too slow. Make them faster so the game will have some extra action element

  • The UI in the game dont feel too much natural and feels apart of the game. The health bar is a red bar, the gun, shield and nuke icons are minimalistic, the gold is too but in another way, the game still uses normal text, etc. You have a realistic gun model to shoot minecraft zombies in a jail of dirt (maybe invisible walls should be better)… you got the point. Stick to a theme (and maybe a color pallete).

But before replying me saying “this is a learning project at all”, dont forget that the best way to learn to make games is to make games. Maybe this can stop being a learning project and becoming your passion over time. Or finish this game, and you will have a sense of how to make games and will get better on it over time. Also, you said you want a job, so a good thing to try is to make a portifolio.

Hi! Thanks for feedback!

Among my Unity-made games this one is my 5th game, 3th 3D game and 2nd FPS. Open the link of the game again and click on title in upper part of screen. There will be link of my account.

When the game was released enemies were faster and in an update I made them slower to give players real chances to spend 3-4 minutes or more on playing without watching reward ad (often).

About UI. Moderators hadn’t taken my game before releasing because there were problems with UI when they reduce screen. Also, it was a little hard to place such count of elements.
