With previous unity betas a message was posted to the forum to let everyone know when a new beta was out. This doesnt seem to have happened with 2017.1 beta 1 yet, but it has been out for a few days.
So I thought I would post this message just in case anyone else hadnt realised.
Actually it was published yesterday evening.
I think it was the evening before that since I already downloaded it yesterday lunchtime (UK time)
Actually you’re both wrong, it was released yesterday morning!
If it weren’t for following various UT members on Twitter I wouldn’t have known about the beta.
Timezones I guess because that tweet has a date of late Wednesday evening for me!
Anyway I wish I had more to say about 2017.1 beta 1 but I havent done much with it yet other than check my metal stuff is still working on mac like it does in 5.6 
Sorry everyone for the irregular release. We had some issues with having everything the documentation published, which delayed the announcement. Please enjoy the beta now and give us your feedback on this forum!
