I don't know where to begin! Agenda?

Hello there,

My project is simple.
Create a 2D MMORPG for a french community of 200/250 players in the next two weeks.

I know. This is crazy. But, I must honor my pledge or they will literally… kill me.
I’m joking, of course. I do this because this is an amazing community who use to play my game since nearly 10 years. This is mental! I developed my game on a 2D mmorpg content management system really limited. But it seems that my ideas have pleased a lot of players and I’m really happy about that.

Why develop on Unity? Because I think that this is an amazing engine on which we can create amazing stories and gameplays compare to on what I used to develop my game.

I have the sprite sheets and the tiles. I will keep continue to create my maps on Tiled because it’s amazing and I love it so much. And… yea… I don’t know where to begin on Unity.

Can you guys help me to do an agenda? Agenda that will help a lot in the next weeks to respect the deadline.

Thanks for reply.

I’m sorry, but this is insane.

MMORPG are the kind of game which requires more resources and time to build.

In two weeks you could barely scratch the surface.

Even if you mean to build the engine only, without actual content, you won’t be able to do it.

Unless maybe your plan is to have a mmorpg with no monsters, no special powers, no abilities to grow, etc., and a flat world, with players that just roam aimlessly for no reason. That one, you can definitely do.

Start doing that, see if you can make that in two weeks, and then add other thing piece by piece.
