but this place…
I mean wtf!? this place is almost a ghost town!
you’d wanna hope that you don’t get caught with an issue and expect help especially seeing as you your self may well be one of those holier than thou ppl
or is it ppl that don’t bother to check anything? easier just to get someone else to look, you reply and never get to escape?
I’m sorry your question is not smart enough for my precious time and it does not allow me to sound smart when i reply

i’m relatively okay, though the amount of 0 replies to ppls questions is astounding, i do pop up with a question every now and then but at the moment i have resolved my issues, thank you for the offer to help 
i suppose another issue here is thankless ppl, you solved my problem, i’m not going to tell you you helped and i’ll be back later to demand more, lol

I was having issues with a section of my terrain going black, terrain texture scaling and unity actually saving when told not to.
I deleted the terrain and made new ones, using smaller connected terrains, issues gone for now, unsure on the save issue though 
another Was a question on ragdolling but i think i’ve got that under control aswell
i look forward to learning everything heh
What’s the point of your post, if you don’t have an actual example?
This forum has a huge amount of users and as such it has many unanswered questions. There are different reasons for that.
for alot of users alot of answers seem above many ppl
when googling for answers you can find many of the same question with no reply, makes it hard to resolve issues, okay for instance my black section of map, the same question was asked several times when google searching with no response, those ppl just fade into promiscuity and i feel sorry for them not getting help all be it a simple phrase…
my guess is it is the map size that causes the issue i deleted mine and also found out you can link them, i suppose if you dig hard enough you can find answers, though that is no answer lol

i edited^ i notice that my post has been moved to general discussion though i will say it deserves to be where it was as it was based on the help section, or should ppl be going to general discusion to ask for help 
( and here is where the post dies, bravo, pity it was not left there to incite a bit more help from ppl, though that being said by the way the forums are divided the only ppl you will ever get in the help section is ppl asking for help as there is absolutely no reason to go there otherwise, seems like a hinder to growth to me )
for having a large community alot of ppls questions do not get answered because ppl have better things to do.
general discusion has alot of responses but it’s not a help section, maybe the issue is having so many different forums divides ppl up to much.
I had a look at your black section issue and frankly, it was very hard to understand what you meant. The picture is understandable, but the way you are describing the issue made me doubt whether I understood what you actually meant. For my taste, it is unnecessarily hard to read the description due to the formatting. There is no reason not to write complete sentences one after another without a line break or to use the provided formatting choices from the forum like lists. Those kinds of conventions help it to guide the reader’s eyes. If you don’t follow them, you make it unnecessarily hard to read it.
For me it is comparable to someone who doesn’t use code tags to post their scripts in the forum. Even if the content is pretty much the same, it makes it complicated to read it.
Everyone’s time is valuable and deserves to be respected. If you take the time to make your question better readable and more understandable for others, you increase the chance to get a valuable answer.
The forum’s requirements have changed over time, as such e.g. new sections were introduced. Besides that, there were certainly many more changes. A recent one is that questions should not be asked in the general discussion section as it was and is being abused too much for that.
That could be because of the minimalisation of the help section heh
I know the post your talking about, you mean the one titled ‘engine saving on quit when told not to’
The references to the black sections was little more than a means to an end. rather than going, it went black n posting a pic. (sorry) i mean the engine saved when i told it not to.
I had reduced the time spent typing as, based on google searches and answers etc and seeing responses or lack there of i put it in the ‘ppl have better things to do’ catagory, so i went short and sweet, slap out a few bullets, ya know
either way though.
If your motives are so noble how come you never made a post in the getting started section to help a noob? Seems to me you are at a level of knowledge where you would be able to help a total beginner, yet you choose not to AND rant on about how this forum sucks and nobody is helping people. All I see is entitlement and zero initiative on your part.
I’ve been on several forums too and this one is among the friendliest I have ever seen. The amount of patience some veterans demonstrate here while helping noobs is astounding to me. If you only ever ask questions, never give back to the community and don’t follow best practices for stating your problems, then I’m not surprised a time comes where the good will towards you dries up and nobody cares about your problem. I’ve made an effort to help people where I could with the little knowledge that I have and in return all questions that I asked were met with incredibly helpful replies.
