I have prefixes in front of my blend shapes? Any ideas?

So the guy I work with is a coder, and whatever I’m doing needs to be named a specific way. When I finish adding my blendshapes in Maya and export as an FBX and bring my avatar over to Unity, the blend shape nodes have the prefix m_expressions1.whatever (whatever being the name of what the blend shape should be called) I should mention that in Maya when I go to create my blendshapes, I have to name the blendshape deformer and I called it m_expressions1, so it is taking the blendshape deformer as a prefix in unity. How do I stop it from doing that?

Long story short, I want my blendshapes to be named “whatever” not “m_expressions1.whatever”

It’s logical that Unity would name your blend shapes like that. It sounds like your coder’s problem not yours.
