I have problem with rigidbody

I recently downloaded a new version of unity(2022.3.9f1) and there is a problem. If I am right, the Transform.Translate function was not affected by Rigidbody and it work well in the previous version that I used. But now an object that has Rigidbody component move a bit stiffly. Well I am guessing it is because inertia is affecting the movement by Transform.Translate function. This new inertia mechanism is really confusing me and I just want them to removed. So…

  1. I want to know why is Transform.Translate function is affected by Rigidbody.
  2. Is there any way that I can remove inertia effect?
