I just put my money where my mouth is

I just ordered for the pro version of Unity. I hope to use it to develop my 3d modeling, texturing and animation skills to the point where I can get a job making games for a living.

I’ve got Maya, got Unity Pro. Hmmm. I think I’m set.

good one man,I think you have a good life ahead…
I have a question: I’ve exported an FBX from Maya of a bird flying in a circle.Ive imported it to unity and it flys round, but stops.Do you know a way to get the animation to loop? I also notice I can use my bird.mb file. Does anyone know what differences there are between using .FBX and .mb files?

In the animation component there are otptions to lopp your animation. The one you are on right now it probably clamp, choose loop. .mb and .fbx are really the same thing but if you dont want extra files just use .mb.

Are those options within unity or maya? Im a bit stumped with the animation part of Unity so far

It’s in the Unity Inspector… click on your bird and in the Inspector there’s an Animation section. Go Down to “Wrap Mode” and choose Repeat… or Ping Pong for a drunken bird

In Unity. Select your bird model and look at the animation sections of the inspector.

Photoshop and a Wacom tablet would make it the perfect collection.

I’ve got those, too. 8)

Refurbs from Wacom are very, very affordable.

Excellent!

<–looks up refurbished cintiqs doh! no luck

i got a refurbished graphire back in the day, and my little sister stole it once my Dad got a mac. She colors comics with it now.

You can find refurb graphire’s at PCmall.com. They were having a sale to get rebates on refurb graphire 3 models. It brought the cost for a 4x5 down to $35.

As for the cintiq, well that is just lust worthy! I got to use one at a Maya event this past winter and it was incredible. A little too expensive for me, perhaps if I really get into zBrush I will take a look.
