I made brand new /r/UnityAssets! A subreddit dedicated for Asset Sharing.

It’s no common knowledge that the Unity’s Official Asset Store is very hard to navigate and good assets is quite hard to dig up. Many of the Indie developers have developed great asset that won’t get the attention that they deserve in the Asset Store! So now we have /r/UnityAssets! UnityAssets is the twitter for Asset, the Leader Board for assets, the rating system for assets! Promote your own asset or share assets you found in the Asset Store with all of us!

Just post a link to your asset or write up a text for your asset with a link! Mark your post with the flair of either “FREE” or a price tag!

Please also help rate the Asset shared by upvoting or downvoting!

You’re ASSET Doesn’t have to be on asset store! Can just be a piece of script pasted into post or anything that counts!

Example:

  • “FREE” [Shader] Blah blah blah
  • “$10.99” [Spritesheets] Blah blah blah
  • “$0.99” [Music/Audio] Blah blah blah

#TL;DR

Share your assets. Promote your own or share others. Post your own script or art. Mark flair as FREE or with price.

I am very new to Reddit, what is a ‘flair’ and how do you add one to a post?

Flair is a marker, see the price tag on the right of the title. That’s the flair :slight_smile:

That shows a screen shot, I wouldn’t really say that teaches anything, when creating a post on your subreddit there is no option to add a flair, perhaps if you actually described the process of adding a flair when creating a post instead of just an image with no description at all as to what to do, you may be an expert on Reddit but others aren’t so a little more help would be useful.

I actually posted my first flair today :smile:. I think the availability depends on the subreddit that you post to. This was on /r/blender, and on the bottom of the text form, where there are options like comment, edit, share, etc. There’s a “flair” drop down, which you can select from. I was obviously limited to the selections in the drop down. Anyway, that’s my first and only experience.
