I just downloaded Untiy and I can’t wait to get started. My goal it to make a 2d/3d side-scroller for Ipod/Iphone. I’m already pretty good at Blender so I have the modeling covered. What I would like is a beginners tutorial that explains allot about the interface and how to work the program and maybe gives a few example projects. Thank you SO much for the help!
There are some great tutorials at 3dbuzz.com, I believe some of them require subscription, but there are good free tutorials.

Check out the basic Unity videos (here).
Then use the Lerpz tutorial provided by Unity. (here) I used the tutorial to get started.
