I need a team for a 3d horror game.

Lately I’ve been writing a story, (yes I like to write) and I thought it would be awesome if this story became a game, so I’ve come to unity for help. This story was actually inspired by a cat (yes, a cat). This cat seemed to go crazy at night and stalk you and what not. I found this really creepy, so I wrote a story about it. Beginning of story below.

Long ago, in 1956, there was an old woman named Allison Grey. Allison lived in a beautiful house, and had a beautiful cat named Ginger. Ginger was a sweet and friendly cat by day, but by night it seemed that she would completely lose her mind. This forced Allison to lock the cat in a cage at night. One night while Allison was sleeping, the house caught fire. The fire consumed the house, leaving nothing but ashes where it once was. It was confirmed that Allison and her cat had died in the fire…

were they wrong?

I know the story could use some work, but I think it would be awesome if this were to be put into a game. You do have to be kind of open minded to this idea, but I think it will work. If this game does get produced, we will all get credit as a team. Please reply.

Do you know how to use Unity or will you just write the story?

I guess I’ll be the one to jump in and say this…

  • First, welcome to the forums.
  • This isn’t the right forum for trying to recruit team members. There’s a dedicated board for that over here.
  • I don’t want to pick apart your story too much, as it may just be a matter of taste. But you haven’t really given any kind of idea as to what the game would actually be. I mean, you mention it’s a horror game, and it involves a dead lady and her cat. More information about the actual game you have in mind would possibly draw people in better.
  • What roles do you need filled? How many people do you want total? Are you planning on compensating the team at all, or is this just a fun side project? What, other than the story, are you bringing to the table?
  • Generally, ideas are cheap. Everyone has them. Skills are where the demand is. Download Unity and play around with it. Go through the official tutorials. Experiment with art styles. Or just draw stuff. It’s really really difficult to get excited about someone’s idea for a game without anything else to go on, when most of us have hundreds of ideas of our own in our mental archive that are waiting for their chance to see the light of day as well.

I don’t know how to use unity YET. I could do some graphic designs and settings too.

You do have a point, and I know that I didn’t give a lot of detail. What I’m looking for in the game is some what of a Five Nights at Freddy’s layout, except you can move around in the game. The old lady won’t be in the game, it’ll just be the cat. The cat survives and is half burnt to a crisp from the fire. A family moves into a house that was built on top of the remnants of the old one. And since the cat goes crazy at night, it will attack you when the sun goes down. You must find a way to get Ginger out of the house. You have multiple tools to avoid being attacked by the cat.

p.s I didnt see the team section XD

Closing this, please follow Schneider21’s advice
