I Need Help! AltSpace VR Please!

So I been a fan of altspace for about 2 years now since the oculus go. I have a Quest 1 I got last year and since the Quest 2, I have seen more and more people jumping on the platform, creating worlds I didn’t know was possible. I figured I would try to create a replica of my office and etc.

I keep following steps from youtube videos and altspaces own website but I run into an issue. I want to say it is because I am on a mac computer but unity works on mac fine, so maybe it is the unity uploader for altspace? I dont really know what I am doing.

So I was told i needed to create a template, then create a world, then get Unity, with build Unity 2019.4.2f1, which I got. Then I was told I needed Unity Uploader, which I got. I was told to open the Unity Uploader while Unity is open in a new project, which I did. Then I was told I would see an altspace tab and click build, which I did. When I go to log in, I enter my info but the log in button doesn’t work. It gives me an error message that reads below…

Not sure what it means but it comes up with a red stop sign symbol

I also get the error when I even open Unity stating the following

Package missing for Virtual Reality SDK Oculus. Please add the Oculus (Desktop) package using the Package Manager Window.
Will attempt to enable None instead.

That one is in a yellow yield sign.

This is an unsupported version of Unity. Please download version 2018.1.9f2 for best results.

No idea what I am looking at at all. I don’t know codes. I just am following the steps verbatim from the altspace sight and the most recent youtube videos i could find.

Any help would be great.

Mac User. I can’t find this download option in the archive downloads. I see

i guess you are following this, that article seems to say 2019.4.2f1 is correct… maybe ask from their discord channel how to setup this in Mac?

Yeah, that is the link I am following. Been doing everything step by step so that is why I am confused.

I too am on a mac and am at the exact spot you are at.

  • I have done everything according to the write-up “How do I get started with the World Building Toolkit (Unity Uploader)?” and am getting the same error. Please let me know if you find anything.
