Hi im a young gameing enthusiast, and would like to start making games
I realy want to use unity!
The problem is in south africa our internet is slow and unstable,
so that means i cannot download Unity :(, so im asking people who want to invest:
In the development of a young game devolpers skill.
The indie comunity
The gaming industry in africa,
And gaming as a whole,
By sending me a copy of unity, either on a cd/dvd or very small flashdrive( eg 1 gig)
Via Mail,
I promise to include you in the credits of all future games i make with that unity copy
And keep you up to date on what i do if you wish that i do so.
If you have another way for me to obtain a free copy of unity (not unity pro) please let me know!
+1 for this thread, i see you’re largely covered however if you ever need to download something very large and not finding help do not hesitate to ask me, as long as it doesn’t violate any licenses i’ll be happy to download tons of stuff for you so that you can dev in peace once your disks are received, not having to worry about the slow connection
For those surprised by the humanity of this thread, I think it helps that the OP is honest in his desires, not spouting off about unrealistic accomplishments or remuneration and most importantly, not asking for anything illegal. He just needs a valid copy of software Unity distributes for free he can’t get because of his shoddy internet connection. There are plenty of regulars around here so I’m not really surprised this kind of request gets a warm response. That said, good on all of you. And good luck to the op in his learning adventures.
